Sacred Activism : Transformative Practices for Systemic Change

Destructive hierarchies, systemic oppression, and the subjugation of the feminine are an embedded part of the fabric of our modern culture. Mindfulness and ancestral healing offer us an authentic path for our collective transformation.

Be held in a kind and loving environment with compassion and understanding as we build skills, practices, and ways of being that are essential components of utilizing our privilege wisely as fuel for transforming institutions and catalyzing systemic change.

This workshop is for white Euro-American women curious about and interested in dismantling systemic oppression, destructive hierarchies, and white supremacies in our personal lives, our communities, and within the institutions we live and work in.

We will work with the grounding practices of mindfulness and lovingkindness to: ~ support our capacity to grow our hearts open to the suffering caused by these dynamics ~ build our courage to be with difficult emotions that may arise as we acknowledge our circumstances ~ enhance psychological characteristics of resilience and stress-hardiness through radical self-nourishment, nature-based embodiment practices, and build our capacity to remain rooted even in the face of great change and intensity.

We will engage in a range of therapeutic modalities to support the acknowledgment of ancestral trauma as an intrinsic part of our cultural scaffolding as a way to grow our understanding of the systems and narratives we are immersed in. From this place of enhanced clarity, understanding, intentionality, and rootedness we will explore ways to reclaim our personal sovereign power and begin the journey of decolonizing our bodies, hearts, and minds as we live into our capacity to become agents for meaningful systemic change in the name of justice, sanity, and Soul as we co-create the more beautiful world we all know in our hearts is possible.
